Part 1 Planning the audio |
To decide on the
audio portion of the video you will need to obtain information from
someone involved in the story.
- Write a list of questions you would
like to have answered. (Who can answer the questions?)
- Copy and paste your questions'
document into the correct turn-in folder. (One or more participants will
be asked the questions we choose for the story.)
- Write a
block format personal business letter to the person who you need to
interview. In the letter include the following:
- Request for an interview during this
class hour (1st paragraph)
- Reason for the interview
(1st
paragraph)
- When you want the interview - week of
November 27th (1st paragraph)
- Questions you plan to ask
(2nd
paragraph)- Look in
the Turn In folder for sample questions. Remember you want to ask W and
H questions that will give you the information you will need to write
the story. That would be a minimum of 6 questions.
- A thank you to the person
(3rd
paragraph)
- Turn your letter in to the appropriate
folder
- Two students will be selected conduct
each interview

Part 2 Creating and filming a script |
Use the
responses from the questions, and the pictures to help you write a script
and film it. This will be a film of you acting the part of a
newscaster or reporter.
- Use the pictures and the answers from
the questions submitted to write your script. This will be similar to a
script a newscaster would have.
- Partner with someone and have him/her
film you performing your script.
- Upload your film to the computer. Film
should be on the Video 1 track.
- Import 1-4 clips from the taped
interview (approximately 5-10 seconds each)

|

You will need to
decide what pictures go with which portions of the film and add them to
the Video 2 track.
- Trim your film as needed for excellent
audio.
- Import pictures.
- Arrange pictures with correct audio
portion. Pictures should be on Track 2.
Your recorded video should be on Track 1.
- Add transitions to pictures and video
to create a visually appealing film.
|
|
Part 4 Editing Titles, credits, and
background music |
- Create title and credit slides. You
may use: a photo, an 800 x 600 pixel Photoshop creation, or actual video
for your title and credit slides.
- Select, download, and add
royalty free
music
to your video. Do not use copyrighted music! This is a violation
of copyright law and you will receive an F on your video if you do.
|

and Turn In |

in your video you need to make sure you have met the requirements.
