Challenge Presentation

Choose a Moderate or Difficult Challenge. The challenge must be approved by the teacher.

Build a robot to solve the challenge.

Program the robot.

Test the robot and make adjustments as needed.

Take pictures of the robot and a film of the final challenge using the Webcams.

Create a PowerPoint presentation for your challenge. Your PowerPoint should include:

  • Title Slide with a description of your challenge
  • Design Slides - Include pictures of your robot from all angles, pictures of gears, and an explanation of why you chose to make the robot this way.
  • Programming Slide - Include a screen shot of the program that you use and an explanation of the program. To create the screen shot, you need to open Robolab and the program, and press PrtScrn key. This places the image in memory. Go to Photoshop and create a new file. Paste. The screen shot will be pasted. Crop as needed. Save this as a GIF or JPEG. You can now insert the picture in PowerPoint.
  • Challenge Video Slide - Insert your challenge movie into this slide. Text should include the time it took to complete the challenge (borrow a stop watch).
  • Conclusion Slide - Write a one paragraph conclusion about what you learned during the challenge.
  • Last Slide - Include names and pictures of group members.
  • Optional - You may make the background a color or apply a design. You may animate using custom animation. You may add slide transitions.
