Stucky's Got Talent!
Stucky students showed off their talent on March 13, 2008. Beginning with the very difficult Star Spangle Banner, students performed their hearts out to an appreciative audience. A rap star, a contemporary duet, and solo vocalists provided the musical entertainment. Dancers wowed the audience. A comedy team told jokes. Some unusual talents were the backwards alphabet, a sign-language interpretation, and a student who solved the Rubics cube at the super speed of 3 minutes.
This talent show featured the most diverse acts ever. All the acts did a remarkable job. The winner will be announced after spring break.
The talent show was one of the ways to say thank you to all the Stucky students who worked hard on their state reading assessments. Last year's 8th grade students scored standard of excellence in reading. Our goal is for all grades to do the same this year.
In April students will take the state mathematics assessment. We expect our students to do well. Last year's 7th grade students scored standard of excellence and our goal is for all grades to score excellent as well.
