Mr. Davis, Principal

Mr. Davis formed a partnership with Southwestern College in the fall. As part of the partnership Stucky students are all eligible for a $25,000 scholarship if they accepted at Southwestern. Stucky students visited the campus several times throughout the school year and Spirit Aerospace is funding a summer program for Stucky students at Southwestern.

Mr. Davis plans to partner with other colleges including the University of Kansas. In the 2007 school year Mr. Davis plans to become an ACT school, which will allow students to become better prepared for college. Mr. Davis would like all Stucky students to complete high school and go on to a college.

We encourage academic achievement. Each marking period we reward honor roll students and their parents with a breakfast and awards assembly.

Mr. Davis is proud of the students at Stucky for their hard work throughout the year. He wants Stucky students to be the best in academics, in behavior, and in extra curricular activities as well.

Congratulations to our band, orchestra, and vocal music students for their excellent concerts and for their high ratings at festivals. Our orchestra received a 1 Composite Score and 1 on Sight Reading at Festival. The band received a 2 rating. Our vocal music students received a 1 rating in Sight Reading and both the Mixed Choir and Girls Choir received a 1 at Vocal Festival.

Stucky vocal music and drama produced Honk Jr. the Musical. A large cast of students and technical crew participated in this outstanding performance.

Stucky athletic teams took home honors. The 7th grade girls cross country team placed first in All City. The volleyball team tied for second place. The boys basketball team ranked second with a 12-2 record. The girls track team ranked first and the boys track team placed third in All City.

Stucky is an excellent school and students here work hard to achieve. Mr. Davis is proud of Stucky students.
