8^th Grade Celebration

 

 

Dear 8^th Grade Parents/Guardians and 8^th Grade Students,

    The date and time of the 8^th Grade Celebration has been set for Monday, May 20 at Northeast Magnet High School. All parents and students are invited to attend this special event to recognize our 2012-13 8^th Grade class. The 8^th grade students voted on the theme and the dress requirements for the event.

Theme- “Under the Sea”

Dress-Semi Formal (Expensive gowns, suits, and tuxedos are not required) Please follow the school dress code when choosing an outfit for the dance. Skirts and dresses should be finger tip length.

    The Awards Assembly will take place in the Auditorium at 6:00PM. The dance will follow the awards assembly from 7:00-9:00PM in the commons area at Northeast Magnet. The cost to attend the dance will be $5.00. Tickets will be sold the week before the dance. All 8^th grade students are expected to be on their best behavior the last nine weeks of school in order to attend the dance. Any students who are suspended/ in-school suspension during the month of May will be excluded from attending the dance. Parents/Guardians are encouraged to be part of the last dance as it has been a Stucky tradition to have the parents dance with their son or daughter.

    8^th grade students are expected to attend school all day on Monday, May 20. Students will not be excused to leave early on that day.

    A professional photographer will be available to take individual pictures, along with group photos at the dance. Prices will vary according to photo selections made by individual families. A price list will be available from the photographer.
